In 1886, a local historian described the château de Vaulx in the following words : „ Well-proportioned, elegant in its simplicity, located in the most beautiful position on hilltop, its main facade faces south. From this vantage point, we enjoy a pleasant vista across a vast stretch of the region : Saint-Julien de Civry, Dyo, Saint Germain, Amanzé and beyond, as far as you can see, the blue mountains, including the old Dun. a panorama as vast as diversified.“ Today, luckily enough, the scenery is still the same. The house has grown with two wings on the east and west sides by Léon Geoffray at the end of the 19th century. The west wing is dedicated to welcoming our guests.

La chambre Duchêne (from the name of the French garden designer who created the park at the end of the 19 th century) is on the first floor and offers a small entrance and bedroom with a fireplace, Large bed for two persons, private shower room and toilets and view onto the park from the two windows; access through the staircase.
La chambre de Mello (from the name of a previous owner of the house) is on the second floor and offeres a bedroom with a large bed for two persons, private shower room and toilets, fireplace and view onto the vegetable garden and the park (access through the staircase).

La suite de Choiseul (from the name of a previous owner of the house) is on the first floor and has a bedroom with two single beds, a big bedroom with a large bed for two persons and a monumental fireplace. Moreover it offers a large private shower room and toilets, big closet. On the east side, view onto the esplanade, the Brionnais area and the park; on the west side, view onto the vegetable garden and the park (access through the staircase and also independent access by the outdoor stair).

La suite Geoffray (from the name of a previous owner of the house) is on the first floor. It has a big bedroom with a king size bed for two persons, a lounge room or an extra bedroom if there are kids and a private shower room and toilets, big closet. A large balcony with a view onto the Brionnais area on the south side and a view onto the esplanade and the park on the east side and an independant access by the outdoor stair.

Le Grand Appartement on the first floor of the castle has a big bedroom with a large bed for two persons, boudoir with a single bed, private shower room, bath, toilets separated, private lounge with a four poster bed, fireplace and a marvellous view on both side of the flat (north and south); independent access by the main stair .

The hall which leads lo the guests rooms and the lounge room for reading near the fire. The dining room for breakfast and evening meals or welcoming hosts for receptions. The big kitchen, open space for guests to cook delicious meals with an „ ancient piano of cooking „ fully restored which dates from 1895.
